Abrams tank of US 1st Armored Division in 1991 Gulf War. 1.35th 1990s Tamiya tank model kit, 1.35th 1990s DML armor plough, air brushed with acrylic Desert Beige, weathered with Military Brown enamel paints.
Tank crewmen from Tamiya and DML model kits, both hand brush painted in "Chocolate Chip" desert camouflage pattern or desert tan, military brown, black, and white enamel paints. Dubbed 100-hour War, Allied ground forces executed left-flank pincer to trap Iraqi forces in Kuwait.
First modern Persian Gulf conflict was 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War when Iraqi forces launched invasion of Iran for quick land grab of her oil-rich territories, resulted in 8 years of warfare.
Second conflict was 1990-1991 Gulf War when Iraq launched invasion of Kuwait ostensibly to annex regional control of gulf oil terminals.
Third conflict was 2003 Iraq War when US launched invasion to topple Iraqi regime and eliminate terrorist refuge and training bases. US military force withdrew Dec 2011 when US / Iraq unable to reach agreement on legal jurisdiction of American forces.
